Carlo Baccheschi Berti, Castello di Vicarello, Toscana, Tuscany, Italy, 2013
Castello di Vicarello
45% Cabernet Franc, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot
Intriguing nose with lots of cocoa, blueberry, ripe baked peppers, mint and a bit mineral. The lavish mouth is characterised by by oak, chalky minerality and broad, chewy tannins. Has great length to its full-bodied palate, varietal communication loud and clear. Offers lots to chew on for the gastronome.
